Because we’re here to kill fleas, not the environment.

Receiving and applying your flea treatment monthly, all year round, is absolutely essential to ensure that your pets are flea free, forever. So, it’s important that we package our products as sustainably as possible because we send out a lot of them!

That’s why you can expect to see some changes over the next few months

Excitingly, our new and improved treats pouches are now 100% recyclable, ink included!

We’re also working hard to reduce the waste in our monthly deliveries.

Your Itch goodies will now arrive either in

  • a cardboard box which can be recycled at home and is made of recycled materials or
  • our brand-new mailer bags which are made from Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and contain recycled materials. They’re fully recyclable, waterproof, strong, and of course – still personalised!

Our new bags are much smaller in size and weight than the cardboard boxes which means that we can fit more packages in our courier’s lorries. This means they have a more efficient journey to your doorstep, reducing our carbon footprint. They can be recycled at large supermarkets, or check your local council for kerbside recycling. You can find your nearest recycling point here

You might not see the changes to our packaging immediately. We’re reducing waste by introducing our packaging changes over the next few months.

When you do receive them, please do let us know what you think. We’d love to hear. Drop our team a message or give us a call on 020 3370 0905 Mon to Fri 8am-4pm.

That’s not all though…

If there’s a way to make our impact on the planet even smaller, you can bet we’re on a mission to sniff it out.

That’s why we are now also asking that our team here at Itch play their part to minimise our impact on the environment in order to leave a better world for future generations (pup and human alike!)

Read all about what we’ve been up to here:

Our newly formed Itch Green Team is on a mission to minimise waste and reduce our carbon footprint at Itch HQ. Here are some of our initiatives: strict recycling policies, eco-friendly office supplies, energy saving light bulbs, and much much more.
Spending time together while doing our part to help clean up parks, forests and beaches? We’d call that a win win.
We’re proud to say we’ve just launched our own team marketplace where colleagues can sell, borrow or give items to promote a circular economy.
